Frustrated with the ethics of the fast-fashion industry and how difficult it is to find something that met our founder’s criteria, Picara Threads focuses on fit, quality-construction, cute aesthetics and affordability! We hope to get people to think beyond fast fashion and create their own wearable art that they can be proud of. Garments shouldn’t be a one-time use. We want to empower people with the ability to make their own clothes and modify them to their own unique shape and tastes. We want the world to have less waste in landfills and more thoughtfulness to our clothes.
What We Believe In
Rogue, bohemian, Picara. Our founder chose this word because she wanted to explore and celebrate the many different avenues of clothing design. Clothing, worn every day, is a form of self-expression. Being able to create your own wearable clothes no matter what form should be a source of pride.
Knowledge
Picara Threads aims at providing solid base products for makers to hack, mod and transform our products into their own. We hope to provide the tools and ideas to jumpstart your next creation. We want to grow alongside you and hope to share or highlight new discoveries, not hide them away as company secrets.
